In response to the growing number of visitors to Dorothea Dix Park during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dix Park Conservancy partnered with the City of Raleigh to address critical accessibility needs. Funded by Wake County through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), these improvements aim to ensure the park is accessible, welcoming, and safe for all visitors.
